Duc Nguyen

Hey there!! I’m Duc Nguyen and I’m a 15 year old sophomore at Nolan Catholic High School. At Nolan, I strive to take part in the school community by being a member of the Varsity tennis team, Stuco, Ambassadors, and many clubs. In all my work I do, I always give it my all and I never give up on any tasks until I complete them to perfection. The main thing about me is that I have always had a great passion for serving others. My parents have always taught me to put others before myself and to this day, I have always tried to find opportunities to put these words into action. My launching point into service all began in the summer of 2015, when I was blessed to go on my first mission trip in Baja, Mexico. This trip was a true eye opener for me. I realized how fortunate I truly was and I had always taken my blessings for granted. My underlying motive for service is that it is one way for me to give back to God for all the blessings He has given me. As of now, I have gone on 4 mission trips and am yet to even begin my journey of all the service I’m hoping to do in the future. My goal in life is to become a doctor, so that I can help those in need in my everyday life. My further goal is to continue going on as many mission trips as possible because I truly enjoy it. Nowadays, I joined Dare to LEAD because I saw what a great opportunity this organization enables for me to do more service. Dare to LEAD gives me the opportunity to work alongside amazing members who are all putting a valiant effort to take our parts in the betterment of the community.
